Nursery
The Nursery includes
all children from birth through three years. Child Care
provides the love and safety of the faith community
to infants and young children. LPC offers child care
all Sunday mornings and for most church events.
LOGOS
This program meets
on Wednesday afternoons and is made up of four segments:
Bible study, worship and music skills, activity time,
and family-style mealtime. It is an opportunity to nurture
our youth from grades 1 through 8 in a firm Christian
experience.
Adults
We at Lakeside Presbyterian
Church are a community of believers dedicated to Christian
fellowship for all ages. We offer activities and programs
to enable adults to learn, care and have fun together.
LPC regularly offers
adult classes on Sunday mornings for adult nurture and
study. Courses include an assortment of subjects within
three areas: Biblical Theological Study; Personal Growth;
and The Church in the World
Special Seasonal
Activities
Vacation Church School
is a festive and creative summertime week for all ages.
Camps and Conferences
are open to preschool children through adult at the
Camp at Okoboji through the Presbytery of Prospect Hill.
All-church outings
have included canoe and kayak trips, bicycle rides,
and trips to baseball games.
Presbyterian
Women
Membership in PW is
open to all women who choose to participate in or be
supportive of its Purpose - as defined by the Presbyterian
Church (USA). Morning and afternoon circles meet on
the third Wednesday of each month for Bible study and
fellowship.
Members can also participate
in the Sewing Circle, calling on shut-ins, supporting
Adopt-a-Family projects, and serving Meals on Wheels.
Bible at Breakfast
This weekly Bible
study for men is held every Wednesday at 7:00 am at
the church.

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers care for people facing tough times. They are lay people who have received extensive training to provide emotional and spiritual care, both within the Lakeside congregation and outside of it. more
Church
School
Church School classes
are offered on Sunday to children from age three through
adult. Church School classes for ages three through
grade six meet on the first and second floor of the
educational wing.
Youth
We at Lakeside Presbyterian
Church are a community of believers dedicated to Christian
fellowship for all ages. We encourage and support junior
and senior high youth in their search for identity as
they listen to Christ's call to discipleship, community,
and service.
Classes are held for
Junior High, grades 7-8, and Senior High, grades 9-12.
Many Senior High youth
also attend our Mission Trips, which have included trips
to Michigan, North Carolina, and Colorado in recent
years.

Our Choirs
Music is an important
part of the life and work of Lakeside Presbyterian Church.
Through music, we are able to glorify and serve God
by giving our gifts back to God. Lakeside has a distinguished
tradition of the highest quality music. Church membership
is not a requirement for participation and often regular
attendees sing in our choirs before becoming members.
Students from Buena Vista University are especially
encouraged to join in, either as participants or as
leaders.

Time Out
This group of women
of the church joins in faith, fellowship, Bible study
and Christian service to our church, community and world.
The group meets at 7:00 pm on the 4th Monday of the
month from September through May, and provides a babysitter
to enable women with young children to attend.
