Programs

We nurture our faith by providing Christian Education classes for all ages.
No matter your age or interest, there's a place for you.

Nursery

The Nursery includes all children from birth through three years. Child Care provides the love and safety of the faith community to infants and young children. LPC offers child care all Sunday mornings and for most church events.

LOGOS

This program meets on Wednesday afternoons and is made up of four segments: Bible study, worship and music skills, activity time, and family-style mealtime. It is an opportunity to nurture our youth from grades 1 through 8 in a firm Christian experience.

Adults

We at Lakeside Presbyterian Church are a community of believers dedicated to Christian fellowship for all ages. We offer activities and programs to enable adults to learn, care and have fun together.

LPC regularly offers adult classes on Sunday mornings for adult nurture and study. Courses include an assortment of subjects within three areas: Biblical Theological Study; Personal Growth; and The Church in the World

Special Seasonal Activities

Vacation Church School is a festive and creative summertime week for all ages.

Camps and Conferences are open to preschool children through adult at the Camp at Okoboji through the Presbytery of Prospect Hill.

All-church outings have included canoe and kayak trips, bicycle rides, and trips to baseball games.

Presbyterian Women

Membership in PW is open to all women who choose to participate in or be supportive of its Purpose - as defined by the Presbyterian Church (USA). Morning and afternoon circles meet on the third Wednesday of each month for Bible study and fellowship.

Members can also participate in the Sewing Circle, calling on shut-ins, supporting Adopt-a-Family projects, and serving Meals on Wheels.

Bible at Breakfast

This weekly Bible study for men is held every Wednesday at 7:00 am at the church.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers care for people facing tough times. They are lay people who have received extensive training to provide emotional and spiritual care, both within the Lakeside congregation and outside of it. more

Church School

Church School classes are offered on Sunday to children from age three through adult. Church School classes for ages three through grade six meet on the first and second floor of the educational wing.

Youth

We at Lakeside Presbyterian Church are a community of believers dedicated to Christian fellowship for all ages. We encourage and support junior and senior high youth in their search for identity as they listen to Christ's call to discipleship, community, and service.

Classes are held for Junior High, grades 7-8, and Senior High, grades 9-12.

Many Senior High youth also attend our Mission Trips, which have included trips to Michigan, North Carolina, and Colorado in recent years.

See the Youth page for more information

Our Choirs

Music is an important part of the life and work of Lakeside Presbyterian Church. Through music, we are able to glorify and serve God by giving our gifts back to God. Lakeside has a distinguished tradition of the highest quality music. Church membership is not a requirement for participation and often regular attendees sing in our choirs before becoming members. Students from Buena Vista University are especially encouraged to join in, either as participants or as leaders.
